A railroad crossing replacement project will close Highland near Campus Drive to both vehicles and pedestrians. Any travelers in this area will need to detour around the work zone.
September 18, 2026Ironman 2026 to affect campus traffic, parking, bus service
The Wisconsin Ironman event is Sunday, September 13. Part of the marathon course passes through the UW–Madison campus, including Lakeshore Path, Walnut Street, the Campus Drive overpass and Camp Randall Stadium. Areas just south and east of campus will also be affected.
