Roadway and path detours at Lakeshore Nature Preserve to affect drivers, buses, bicyclists and pedestrians
In November, site preparation for the future Lakeshore Nature Preserve Frautschi Center will require intermittent road and path closures near the entrance to Picnic Point, causing detours for motor vehicles, Metro Transit buses, and people on foot and bicycles.

Randomly selected groups of students, faculty, and staff will receive an invitation to take the 2026 Campus Parking and Transportation Choices feedback survey. Responses will help Transportation Services understand how students, faculty, and staff currently experience campus parking and transportation, and how they make decisions to travel to or access campus.

A railroad crossing replacement project will close Highland near Campus Drive to both vehicles and pedestrians. Any travelers in this area will need to detour around the work zone.
